Politics and Culture of the Right

This lecture will look at the phenomenon of the contemporary radical right in historical context. Starting with an overview of the legacy of the two ‘classic’ movements, Nazism and Fascism, we will discuss how to define radicalism today, and examine what characterises contemporary movements in both Western and former Communist Europe (with particular reference to the UK and Hungary as case studies).
