call for entries: EXPERIMENTAL FILM AND VIDEO ART AWARD

16th goEast Festival of Central and Eastern European Film
20 - 26 April 2016, Wiesbaden (Germany)

goEast Festival of Central and Eastern European Film invites submissions for the third edition of its Experimental Film and Video Art Competition. It intends to encourage the work of young and emerging artists of up to 35 years of age working in or between the fields of experimental film and video art. Up to 10 works will be nominated and contend for the Open Frame Award endowed with 5,000 Euros provided by the BHF-BANK Foundation. The selected works will screen at Caligari FilmBühne or Museum Wiesbaden, depending on the preferred exhibition environment. All participating directors and artists will be invited to Wiesbaden to present their work and take part in the East West Talent Lab, a professional training and networking programme. Assistance with travel arrangements will be provided.

The festival invites recent works (no older than from 2014) produced in or with support/participation from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe or the regional state of Hessen. The running time should not exceed 30 minutes.
