Course description:
The aim of this course is to familiarise students with the means of spatial expression and their precise artistic applications in the design of stage and film sets. The course seeks to explore the history of beliefs and religions, to see how the spaces human societies found, used, reconstructed or built express the spirit of their age. This is a sacral history of architecture, which always represented culture as a whole. After the overview of cultural history, we consider the language of space, its relations and rules. Space analyses: space and dramatic situation; space and character; space and ambiance.
